Kheer/ Rice Pudding Recipe

INGREDIENTS for making Rice Kheer:               Serving – 4 member, Cooking time 45 min.

  • Rice                          – 1  handful of rice( 1 mutthi)- after measure, soake for 30-min in normal water
  • Milk                         – 500 ml
  • Sugar                       –3 tablespoon
  • Gola(Nariyal)        –2 tablespoon
  • Kishmish                –6-7
  • Cherongi                –1 teaspoon
  • Eliachi Powder     –1 teaspoon
  • Water                     –1.5cup

METHOD:

  • Dudh mei  1.5cup pani milakar boil karle
  • Boil hone ke baad bhige hue rice dal kar gada hone tak dudh ko pakaye,jab rice pakna shuru ho jaye to bich-bich mei dudh ko chalate rahe
  • Ache se gada hone ke baad usme eliachi powder aur chini mila kar 15-min low flame par pakaye fer kata hua gola,kishmish,cherongi dalde
  • Ab thanda hone par, tayar Kheer ko, kate hue dry fruits se garnish karke serve kare
  • Thanda hone par kheer zyada gade ho jaye to usme thanda dudh milakr theek kar sakte hai.

 

TIPS:

  •    Kheer ko dheme aach par he pakaye,esse kheer mei sondapan aata hai
  • Chawal ko hamesha hath se thoda crush karke dale
  • Chawal ko bowl se measure na karke apne hath ki mutthi se he measure kare ( 500ml milk-1 handful of rice,1ltr milk-2 handful of rice ) esse kheer mei chawal ka ratio perfect rhta hai (Its my personal experience)
  • Aap chahe to 1 tablespoon milkmaid/condensed milk aur kewra water bhi add kar skte for rich taste

  Aaj bhi mujhe after marriage mere phle ‘RASOI PUJA’ mei bnaye hue kheer yaad hai,mere bnaye kheer khakr sbne bade majedaar compliments diye the,someone said do u add mava in it,somebody said Is it dryfruits makana kheer? Somebody said ‘Hum to ungle chaatte rah gye ‘ .Its a mouth watering and all time favorite dish of my family.  I learn this dish from my Mom aur ‘MAA KE HATHO MEI TO JADU HOTA HAI’ 🙂
